There Was Nothing to Write About
Risoprint, Digital Print, 2024
Printed at ArtEZ University of the Arts

A visual reaction towards the book ‘The Thing Around Your Neck’ by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. One chapter talks about the lack of relationship she had with her parents due to her studying in the US, which reminded me of my situation studying in the Netherlands. I emphasized on the big gap I had with my parents, the lack of communication and the only thing that held us together was the money that was sent every month.
